The Stop’s Night Market annual fundraising event is taking place on June 14th and 15th and will be a culinary feast to remember! The event will feature over 70 chefs, 20 local beverage vendors and 35 one-of-a-kind food carts created by local designers.
The event brings together Toronto’s culinary scene, design, performances and graphic arts all celebrating in diversity, community and the power of food. Funds raised at this event support the The Stop’s critical programs to fight hunger, build hope and inspire change.
For over 30 years, The Stop Community Food Centre has been at the forefront of dignified, innovative programs that provide access to healthy food; build skills, health, hope, and community; and confront the underlying issues that lead to poverty and hunger. Our wide range of programs include drop-in meals, a food bank, community kitchens and gardens, perinatal and family support, civic engagement, and children and youth education. The Stop is an Imagine Canada accredited charity.
This year’s night market will take place from 7 pm to 11 pm at the vacant lot behind 158 Sterling Road. All directions on how to access the event is available here.
Tickets are still available for this event and your $100 ticket purchase will include all food and drink available at the event. Your ticket will also provide your neighbours with access to 20 meals in The Stop’s Drop-in, or healthy food hampers for four families from the Food Bank, or increased access to urban agriculture, community cooking, and education programming for children and adults in the community.
Some of Toronto’s best restaurants will be in attendance, so this is your chance to feed yourself and feed others in support of a great cause!
