Bavarian food is one of my favourites! Who doesn’t like Bratwurt, Pretzels, Spatzle and Beer (pretty sure it’s a food group in Germany). You won’t go hungry while in Munich as the restraunt scene is very vast, with authetic bavarian cusine to just about every other cusine you cant think of. Here are some of the places I tried and recommend”
1. Viktualienmarkt
This daily food market is located right in the centre of Munich. It is very easy to get to and the food vendors are endless. There is fresh produce, meats, cheese, juice, jams and much more to purchase and take home. You can also buy hot food from numervous merchants selling a variety of bavarian food. Of course there is a beer garden nestled in the middle of the market for you to chug back a stein while enjoying a currywurst or

This cute little cafe located not too far from the market is home to delicious pastries, coffee, tea and more. What really makes this place a MUST-VISIT is their very popular pastry called the Schmalznudel. The Schmalznudel is a sweet fried dough that is light, fluffy and absolutely delicious. It pairs well with a coffee and is a pleasant treat after a day of wandering around the city. Their Krapfen (filled doughnut) looked very tasty as well but one pastry was enough for me!
