Grandmas Whipped Shortbread

After a long hiatus of blogging I’ve decided to get back in action!  My friend over at Canuck Beauty Reviews inspired me to start again 🙂

My first new post is going to be a delicious shortbread recipe that my friend passed on to me from her grandma.  When I tried these cookies I was taken back at how soft, simple and scrumptious they were.  Immediately I asked for the recipe and was shocked to see that there are only 3 ingredients !!!

photo11-4117865 Butter, sugar and icing sugar!   A few things to note: You do not need to beat for 10 minutes.  It does take awhile for the ingredients to get soft and fluffy but its more like 6 minutes with a good hand mixer.  Also the cookies take 10 to 12 minutes to bake not 17 or they will burn!!!  Keep an eye on them.  I’ve made them twice and have taken them out at the 10 minutes mark.  Once they come out of the oven you can top them with a butterscotch chip, chocolate chip, maraschino cherry, or just leave them plain.  An easy and delicious holiday recipe 🙂 photo21-7928050 Share on Facebook Tweet follow-1171513 Follow us Share Share Share Share Share
