Saxon Chocolates

saxon_logo-6623514 saxon_logo-8342843 Attention chocolate lovers! I had the pleasure of trying out some really great products by Saxon Chocolates and I have to admit, I was in a chocolate coma afterwards. Saxon Chocolates founder Johan De Greef actually grew up in Belgium so chocolate was a defined part of his everyday life.  In 1994, he founded Saxon Chocolates with the desire to bring gourmet chocolate made in the Belgian tradition to the North American market. Saxon Chocolates adhere to the highest standards of chocolate making and use only pure, carefully sourced ingredients in each of their small-batch creations for the smoothest, richest flavours. The result? An exquisite gourmet experience, beautifully packaged, that will linger with you until you find yourself reaching for some more.  Now on to the goodies that I tried out: img_2582-2667586 img_2583-6779266 Belgian Chocolate Truffles After opening the very pretty box and wishing that these were sent to me by a lovely secret admirer lol I was pleasantly surprised to say that these chocolates were visually divine.  I took a bite and was shocked at how creamy and luscious the texture was.  It melted in my mouth and had such a rich flavour.  You could really tell that these chocolates were high quality.  I wanted to eat 5 more but I shared the truffles with my office who ate them up in no time.  I would buy these ALL the time. img_2584-2145136 Caramel Milk Chocolate Truffles These truffles were full of chewy caramel and were smooth and very rich. I am not a big caramel fan in general because I find it too sweet but these had a very nice balance. img_2643-6139238img_2644-3737996 Dark chocolate Fleur de Sel Caramels I knew I would love these and I did!! I was sad that there were only 3 in the package because they were sooooooo addictive.  The flavours melded perfect and the combo of dark chocolate bitter plus sweet caramel and salt was heavenly. Why can’t this replace the EATMORE bar? That stuff should be banned. img_2698-5008077 Chocolate Pretzel with Toffee Bits I gained about 5 lbs by the time I got to this bad boy.  Salty, crunchy and sweet! I am a regular pretzel fan but I will take a pretzel covered in chocolate and toffee over a plain pretzel anyway.  This was a nice treat! img_2833-5443180 Tahitian Vanilla Marshmallows They sound amazing but when I took a bite I realized I don’t even like marshmallows unless their melted.  I just cant stand the texture of them.  I thought about adding these to a smore’s recipe or roasting them on a stick, that would’ve been delicious. lovenat-8533957 Share on Facebook Tweet follow-1104400 Follow us Share Share Share Share Share
